How it works
Four steps from the first message to finished work.
- 1. Describe the work. Tell us what you need and where the work stops.
- 2. Get a figure, or name your budget. Request an estimate and we will price the work, or submit a budget and name the number yourself. We then accept, counter, or decline.
- 3. Agree on a written scope. Work starts when both sides sign it. The scope sets the deliverable, the price, and the schedule.
- 4. Delivery in days or weeks. The engagement ends when the agreed work is delivered.
Who it is for
We work with companies in Canada and the United States, from a pet shop to an enterprise, and with companies elsewhere when the work fits. What matters is whether the work can be written down and finished, not the size of the company.

We do not take on open-ended staff augmentation, hourly retainers, or full-time placements. If a job has no defined end, it is not one of these packages.
Beyond the usual
- International clients welcome. Canada and the United States are our primary markets, and we consider clients in other countries when the work fits. We work remotely by default.
- Obscure or obsolete technology. We enjoy hard problems, such as moving a 1970s-era system onto current technology. That work is priced after a short discovery review.
- On-site work, near or far. If an engagement needs us on site in another country, we will consider it when travel and accommodation are covered.
